An Oracle Ace and expert in the visualization of data and the design of business analytics strategies, Tim combines a strong background in the application of Oracle-based business intelligence (BI), analytics, and data science with extensive experience in business modeling and valuation analysis. Tim co-authored Oracle Press’s book titled, “Data Visualization for Oracle Business Intelligence 11g”.
Tim moved the Kansas City area in 2007 to join his brother Dan Vlamis in Vlamis Software Solutions, an Oracle Gold Partner that has led more than 200 implementations of Oracle Business Intelligence, analytics, and data warehouse solutions with many of the world’s leading corporations and organizations. Vlamis Software Solutions specializes in Oracle Business Intelligence and the analytic options to the Oracle Database including Oracle Advanced Analytics (Oracle R Enterprise and Oracle Data Mining), Oracle OLAP, Oracle Spatial and Graph, and Oracle In-Memory.
Tim leads the Oracle Advanced Analytics practice at Vlamis in the development of statistical and predictive analytics workflows and processes. He is an acknowledged contributor to Oracle University’s Oracle Data Mining Techniques, Oracle R Enterprise Essentials, and Predictive Analytics using Oracle Data Mining courses and often serves as an expert instructor for them.
Tim’s international business experiences include leading partnership formations and dissolutions in Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, and Canada, negotiating acquisitions in Mexico and Canada, and leading the establishment of a new business entity in India. Tim is a passionate student of complexity theory, the principles of design, and the history of mathematics. He earned his Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) designation from the American Marketing Association and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business in Benedictine College’s Traditional and Executive MBA programs. Tim earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Economics from Yale University.
