Session ID: 383

Cloud data warehousing is not a new concept, but why is a data warehouse built for the cloud so much different from it's on-premises predecessors? In this "Architecture Live" session, you'll hear from two industry experts as they describe the current state of on-premises data warehousing, including the good, bad, and the ugly, and then dive into what makes a cloud data warehouse architecture so much different, and more effective. With input from the audience, they'll draw up and discuss each architecture "live". Examples of various cloud data warehouse technologies will be described, including Oracle Autonomous DW, Snowflake, and others. Attendees will leave empowered with knowledge that will help prepare them for the future of data warehousing.
