Abstract: In an effort to improve the system performance globally and to reduce the overall storage cost it is critical that organizations continue to purge data in the Production environment which is not immediately required for business operations. At the same time it is also important that the purged data is easily accessible for regulatory needs that may differ by country. We went live with Oracle 4 years back and this year for the first time we executed purging of Order management data in our production environment. The purging was performed through in-house development and project execution.
